I received calls and text from players curious about a 64° wedge at certain times during the season. There are golf courses that require more loft like August and at times an Open Championship when bunkers are deeper than expected. When working on this wedge the overall consensus was that they were looking for a wedge that felt lower bounce, faster through the turf, and had more of a skid and slide feeling on the bottom. Players are so good at shallowing out their technique they could simply allow this mid width sole with loft to do all the work when under the pressure of elevated pin locations. The smooth sole helped create speed through the turf, this feeling is something the best players in the world love and you will too. The 64W is a unique wedge made for players who play in firm conditions, golf courses with elevated greens and tricky short-sided lies. This wedge is made for the player with quick hands who likes to see the ball elevate quickly, the fearless player who isn’t afraid to attack any pin. The sole is a medium-width sole with slight camber and an effective bounce of 4°.
